The main Tignes resort on the edge of Le Lac sits at an altitude of 2100m. Above it is the Grande Motte Glacier, which rises to a heady 3456m. The resort was made with skiers in mind, so access to the slopes is fantastic. Tignes is famous for its off-piste skiing and has many classic runs to challenge the best skier or boarder. There is also a half pipe, boardercross and freeriding.
